Elite
Private Ambulance Service was established in April 1988,
by Donal Twomey who had worked with the Southern Health Board
since 1979, firstly as an Ambulance Man and later as an Ambulance
Controller in Cork City. It was an accepted fact at that time
that government spending had been reduced in the area of Health
Services and the Ambulance Service was no exception. As a
result of this the Ambulance Service in some areas was curtailed
to deal mainly with its primary function Accident and Emergency
Cases. This it was believed added to the need in the Cork
area for a Professional Private Ambulance Service - hence
such a service was established and right up to today provides
quality and consistency to a premium in its field.
Elite
Ambulance and Emergency Supplies was established in 1997
as a sister company to Elite Private Ambulance Service. The
main objective of the new company is to assist the existing
clients of Its sister company, in selecting the most appropriate
pre hospital emergency supplies for their needs and supplying
this equipment at value for money prices. For this reason
a sister company had to be formed which would be VAT registered,
as the business carried out by Elite Ambulance Service is
VAT Exempt.
